Loft Petit Charbel...
With the Petit Châtel chairlift just 200m from Loft Petit Charbel, you won’t waste a minute exploring the wonderful Portes du Soleil area!
And if you want to explore further, the shuttle bus stops right in front of the property and will take you directly to the Avoriaz cable car, which operates all year round.
Outside the ski season, the Châtel area is a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, and those who love to get out in nature. Water sports can be enjoyed on the Dranse River and fishing is available at nearby Lake Vonnes.
And at the end of the day you can enjoy the last of the sun on the apartment’s south-facing balconies, with views over the village and valley.
You will be just a few minutes’ walk from Châtel’s shops, bars, and restaurants, as well as its two cinemas, bowling alley and ice rink.
About the property…
Up to eight (six adults) guests can stay at Loft Petit Charbel, a two-storey apartment with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The entrance opens onto the bright, modern living area, which is filled with natural light thanks to the large windows and doors to the balcony. There’s a seating area with chairs and a sofa in front of the television, a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, and a large dining table with alpine views.
You will also find a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room on this floor, as well as a separate WC.
Take the stairs up to the three remaining bedrooms: two double rooms and a room with bunk beds. Both double rooms open onto a balcony, and one of them has its own en-suite shower room with toilet. The other two rooms share a bathroom.
The stunning views can be admired from the two south-facing balconies on this floor, where you can sit and relax with your morning coffee.
Loft Petit Charbel has two parking spaces in the building’s indoor car park.
About the area…
Located in the Val d’Abondance, Châtel is one of the 12 resorts in the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. Linked to Avoriaz, Torgon and Morgins, its altitude and position between the Alps and Lake Geneva ensure good snow conditions throughout the season.
The resort features a snow park, a boardercross area and a beginners’ area at Super-Châtel, as well as slopes for intermediate and advanced skiers in the Linga/Pré la Joux area. Ski-touring enthusiasts will find 49km of dedicated routes around the village.
In summer, cyclists are drawn to the mountain roads, many of which feature in the Tour de France. Châtel’s bike park has 20 mountain biking trails, and many of the village’s shops hire out bikes and equipment. Hikers will find plenty to explore in the region, with around 400km of trails across 48 circuits. Lake Vonnes is a perfect spot for fishing, paddleboarding or simply enjoying a family picnic.
Châtel has been awarded the Famille Plus label for its children’s entertainment programme and family-friendly facilities. Thrill-seekers can try the Fantasticable, an enormous zip line that soars over the valley at 100km/h! Other activities include climbing, paragliding, via ferrata, rafting, and kayaking.

Set on the border between France and Switzerland, Chatel is a popular choice thanks to its great skiing in the Portes du Soleil and its close proximity to Geneva airport.
Unspoilt and with a traditional charm, you’ll find pretty chalets and wonderful scenery.
The village has a good selection of shops and restaurants, and in summer there’s fabulous terrain for walkers and bikers.

The OVO Network Review
With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, two-storey Loft Petit Charbel can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests (max six adults).
Natural light floods the living area, thanks to the doors which open onto the balcony. Relax in the seating area in front of the television or get together at the dining table for a delicious meal, prepared in the well-equipped kitchen.
Outside, two furnished balconies offer breathtaking views of the village and the Portes du Soleil peaks.
The first of the bedrooms is on this floor – a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a separate toilet.
There are three more bedrooms on the upper floor: a bunk room for two, and two bright double rooms with doors to the balcony. One of the double rooms has an en-suite shower room with a toilet, while the other rooms share a second bathroom and toilet.
Finally, there is space for two vehicles in the covered garage below the building, but if you’d prefer not to use your car, the shuttle bus stops just 100 meters away.

Tucked away in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, Loft Petit Charbel is more than just a modern apartment – it is a story woven from family, a love of the mountains and a chance to create lasting memories.
From the very beginning, our dream was simple – to give our children the gift of growing up on the slopes and for us to enjoy all of the wonders of the French Alps.
The apartment is ideally located a stones throw from the buzzing, yet traditional town of Chatel where the best of France and Switzerland collide into a picture-postcard resort that is thriving both in summer and winter. With the nearest ski lift just a 2 minute walk away and panoramic views of Châtel and the Abondance valley, you will have everything you need here for a wonderful stay.
This is not just a rental, it is an extension of our family home, a place where laughter lingers after a day on the pistes and where stories are shared over cosy dinners.
